Most consumers have never heard of trenchless pipe lining, even though it has been in use by governments and municipalities around the world for over 25 years. The process we use is called cured in place pipe (CIPP), this method is performed by installing a seamless tube inside the bad pipe and using epoxy resins to bond the liner to the original pipe. This procedure creates a new pipe without any digging over the damaged pipe, and the new pipe will last a minimum of 50 years.

 

Installation of pipe liners is very fast and clean. Every pipe lining job is started with a video inspection, which helps us determine the makeup of the damaged pipe including pipe type, diameter and length of damaged area. The inspection will also let us see possible intrusions from nearby roots, concrete, corrosion or other possible pipe intrusions. After inspection, the pipe liners are prepared and the pipe is cleaned if necessary. After pipe cleaning, the liners are installed via an access point, manhole or cleanout. Once the liner is in position a balloon like device is inflated inside the epoxy resin soaked liner and this forces the liner to bond and fills in cracks, seams and gaps. The relined pipe is left to cure for 3 hours and a final video inspection is performed on the pipe.

Problem: Dirty tap water in multiple apartment units.
Location: Delray Beach, Florida – Palm Beach County

 

We were hired to perform a pipe rehabilitation job for an apartment complex in the city of Delray Beach. We came out and inspected the water line with our CCTV camera system and found large areas of corrosion in the pipes that were used as the main water feed. The water coming from the ground going to the faucets had a bad odor and some of the water would come out a rusty color before it would be clear. This is normally a common sign of pipe corrosion and is one of the most common causes of smell and rusty colored water. We preformed a re-lining job on the pipe that was leading from the main water line feed to the apartment building. We were able to perform a pipelining job on the main pipe without having to dig up or destroy any concrete in the process.
